• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A Daily Struggle

I was driving alone today, talking out loud, when Ego asked: "To whom are you talking John?"
I replied: "To the only person who will listen to me."
Id laughed and muttered: "Fooled him again!"
Superego just rolled his eyes and went back to sleep.

I have solved that problem. I got this big black dog that follows me around all the time. If Ego or anybody else ask who I am talking to, I just say, "Talking to the dog, of course.".

I don't want none of them thinking I talk to myself. The dog always listens and hardly ever argues with me.

Got a real busy day ahead, but I will leave y'all with a couple of thoughts. Trying to move all the good files and programs from an old HP laptop that is about 18 years old, well worn out, screen burned in, keyboard letters worn off, and too old to upgrade again. Just set up a new Linux Ubuntu Mini, 22 inch monitor, new, full size keyboard and a 2TB SSD last night. Gotta try to get all the files moved into that. Had a 5TB external drive on the old HP when it ran out of space inside. Nothing to do but plug that into the new Mini computer. Now for the bad news... the 500 GB internal HD in the old HP was full. Gotta get that moved with a 256 GB thumb drive. It is slow going. Maybe Rapid Spyder will entertain everybody. I will be scarce today.

Maybe put that old HP HD into an external enclosure and plug it in to your new Ubuntu machine?

That would work, and I got a couple of hard drive docking stations used to rescue people's pictures when their computer gets knocked off of the table. I wanted to go through the files anyway, not in detail, just scan through them, and not move files that are now totally obsolete. No sense in cluttering up the new hard drives with old PHPBB code and other crap from forums that are no long on the web.
