True story, Preflighting a C-130 for an Airborne Jump Training Mission at a base that has now been renamed to (I don't remember what). The engineer had a hard night at the NCO club. Happened when I was much younger and the engineer has passed on now, so no names and it is long passed. He was sitting in the engineer seat on the flight deck looking at the overhead panel. Had the headset on. I was standing behind him getting the fuel tank readings for a weight and balance report. He keyed the mike and said, "Damn, I am F___ed up this morning!". The tower came back with, " Would the aircraft that made that last transmission please identify." The engineer didn't miss a beat. He keyed his mike again and said, " I ain't that F___ed up!" Then he reached up an shut the tower frequency off.

Crew chief was probably on the radio with the tower for some reason and had left the tower radio live to the engineer's headset connection. Never heard anything else from it, but a notice came out later about avoiding profanity on the radio frequencies. Probably would never have heard a thing about it, if it had happened in combat zone. Profanity was not unusual when when people are being fired upon. The state-side training bases are not so lax on the regulations.
