• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rain gear

I might get a beat down for saying it, but we got gear from Wally World last year, (brand name is Stearns) and I'm bettin it works just as good as the expensive stuff. I think we paid around $25 per set. It breathes nice, fits nice offers great wind protection, not too bulky and has nice closures. Put the hood up before puttin the head bucket on and you're all set.

No flames: if it works for you...

I've got a good deal on the Frogg Togg, Hogg Togg rain suit (2 piece) right now. Blue/Black only in sizes Large, XL and 2XL only. $64.00 delivered. This is not the top of the line suit. But it is a great suit (breathable, reflective pin striping, waterproof-of course) at a great price.

I also carry the full line of Frogg Togg and Firstgear rain gear at good prices.

You can get me at [email protected]

RAIN SUITS

I've got a two piece Firstgear that I've had about seven years, It's not a cheap suit but It's the best of all the rain suits I've had over the years..

I recommend frog togs they work well and pack small, got ours at bass pro. Not so good on some two wheel bike's
they will melt on hot exhaust pipes, not a problem on spyder's. Jim

Just tested new gear

Just bought a couple sets of Nelson-Rigg 2 piece high visibility a couple weeks back from GP Bikes on sale for $70 bucks per set to replace a standard work rain suit I had . This morning we drove about 3 hours in varying intensity of rain coming back from the Port Dover bike rally and it worked well , fits comfortably over our Rocket Motorcycle jackets .

Depends

On what you are doing. The gold standard is Aerostich gear. Insanely expensive, lets you log 30,000 miles a year. At that point, it is priceless to be warm, dry and comfortable, all day, every day. If you don't ride in rain, cold, heat, then lesser gear works. We are looking at 15000 miles in the next 90 days. We are "Stiched" up, wearing Aerostich gear. It works.

Another vote for Frogg Toggs, I've had them for many years and unless you let them touch your hot pipes they're great.

Make sure they are motorcycle specific.
:agree: I also have frog togs but not the MC ones they are good, but I have had leaks after stoping for gas in rain:gaah: Could very well be something I did, or didn't get back in right tight spot after words:dontknow: Still like them & carry them everywhere on bike (Louisiana weather you never know). Fyi my set is overalls & a jacket, the jacket easily fits over my mesh jacket if I want to layer up, & not just swap jackets out. I am interested in the MC ones & may upgrade, if I can talk a bud into buying what I got now :p:coffee:

I bought can am one piece rain suit on sale have had about every kind in 40 year and they are one of the best for heavy rain all day ridding

Was in Marion two days ago. On the way down I got caught in the rain. Put on the FrogToggs, stayed dry. However found at speed on the interstate they 'balooned' so much that I had to get off and ride the frontage roads (at a lot lower speeds). I think I'll keep the 'Toggs", but will invest in a moto specific set.
