• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Radio & speakers ???

Went with the Shark 1400 Watt system. Bought the amp as standalone and then bought two speakers that are a little better quality than what comes pre-packaged with the amp. I just added Sirius/XM by buying the Garmin 665. Best Buy price matched at $549.00 with 12 month 0%. Not a bad price for GPS and satellite. The Garmin/XM plays through the Shark amp. If you go to the Shark website you can connect to You Tube videos of their speakers and amps installed and playing.

SHARK is the way to go.
You can check E-Bay for something from " SHARK ", I've had two and was very happy with both.....Make sure your choice has the " WIRED REMOTE " so you can operate it on the handlebars if you mount it there........The last one I had was 650 watt ( I doubt it tho ) 2 channel ....had two speakers + a FM radio...cost about $ 125................It's really small 4 X 3 X 1.5 inches ..................Mike

1400 watt Shark Audio. USB, SD and Bluetooth. Best tunes I've ever had on a bike. I've installed 4 of them on F3's now and they all say the same thing. nojoke

1400 watts? Shame on you Lamont. The Harley guys are now complaining about YOUR noise.:D I just use bluetooth in my helmut, earplugs and and crank it up without annoying anyone around me.

Good morning,
for those of you with the shark audio on the F3..... Did you hook it up directly to the battery where it is always on? If not where did you power it from?

thank you

I had the JL system added to my F3. It sounds amazing but it was pretty costly because it had to be a custom job. JL has the pre-made system for the older spyders but hasn't made one for the F3 so we duplicated the pre-made system. .uploadfromtaptalk1445193602007.jpg

Power

I wired the Shark stereo directly to the battery. I tried the Aux power, but then you could not run the stereo without the motor running. The Shark system I bought has a wired handlebar remote, and I simply turn it on or off from the remote. The Shark manual is not very complete and I missed the fine print the first time stating you have you have to hold down the power button for several seconds to turn the system on or off from the remote, but it's there....

More pics please

could you post more pics and info on the JL Audio system mounted on your F3. I loved that system on my RS

Nice pics, thank you for posting. Where did you guys connect the main power cable to? Did it affect the harness as far as having to re-calibrate anything?
