• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

we have 2010 rt spyder and cant get any mp3 player to show up on screen but an Ipod is this correct??? will no other mp3 player work with the bike?? thanks

The IPOD adapter is a special one that only fits IPODS.
This cable allows the "IPOD Integration" so you can control the choiceof songs through the left hand control switches.

There is another cable available, similar to the IPOD cable, with a DIN connection on one end and a 3.5mm jack on the other.

When you use this one, the display says "Aux Input" or something similar.

The DIN connection plugs into the bike, just like the IPOD cable. The 3.5mm connection plugs into the headphone connection of any MP3 player including the IPOD.

You can play the tunes through the audio system, but you have no control over the song selection. It just plays the MP3's in whatever order you select when you connect it up, either shuffle or consecutive play. If you hit a song you don't want to listen to, you just have to wait, you can't hit "next". That's the only downside.

Three wheels is correct. The iPod intergration cable only works on iPods and iPhones because of their unique jack. Any other MP3 player has to be connected thru the other cable which was provided in the previous post. But this only will give you music and the only thing you can control would be volume.

The RTS and LTD come with both cables. The A&C only comes with the iPod cable. The MP3 cable P/N 219400186 has to be purchased separately for that model.

I just bought my 2011 RT-S and since I do not have an iPod I tried to use the iPod feature on my iPad. The connectors is the same and it worked well. I have not tried the MP3 connection yet. Now I may not purchase the iPod.

For long rides I plug my phone in with the 3.5 mm jack and listen to Pandora while charging frim the 12 volt car charger.
