There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Racing 4T Mobil1 oil change

I hate to ask this but I'm gonna anyway... I noticed yesterday the label has changed on the quart size 4T Mobil oil 10W-40 Full Synthetic... My question is that normally when a label changes the formula has changed as well... Does anyway know if there's been a formula change for this oil? And if so, I'm assuming that it will still adhere to the SpYders requirements? Finally, I noticed in our Auto Zone that they have a special going on for Mobil, you can get 4 quarts of 4T Mobil oil and a FRAM oil filter for $34.99. A regular quart of this oil is $10.99, so I went ahead and bought the special - as for a filter, of course they don't have one for the SpYder, so I had them kick in one for my 2 Wheeler... So, if you're running this oil, it may be worth looking at your local Auto Zone to see if there running it as well... But the original question: Has the formula changed and is it OK to run in the SpYder?? I hope so, because I plan on changing it by Friday anyway...

That's why I switched from mobil1 to valvoline synthetic. Advance auto parts had similar deal with 4 qtz. and fram for $29.99 and so far so good. Little clutch slip I had with brp semi and little maxima mixed in is gone and running cooler too. I asked about the temp being 5 bars all the time on surface street in another thread but after valvoline oil change, it's back to how it was before, dropping to 4 bars once I am moving and down to 3 on freeway.

While I was doing the oil change, a guy working on his Honda mentioned he uses mobil1 and I asked him if knew about sm rating change and he didn't know what sm rating was. Of course, I wouldn't neither if it wasn't for spyderlovers :)
So I am guessing there are still a lot of bikers still using mobil1.

I used Mobil 1 4t and when they changed the API rating I called them directly and the Tech said there was no change and its still great for wet clutches.
nojoke

So I changed to Amsoil and never looked back-:roflblack: Runs Better than ever!!:firstplace:

Run what feels right. I was using brp blend, changed to Mobile 1 motorcycle oil. Lost the clutch at 7200 miles. New clutch and back to brp. Found out brp is same as castrol 4t. I use 10-40 and havent had an issue. Have 15000 miles and still great. By the way, dealer repaired clutch under warrenty but told me not to use mobile1. Just my opinion. I have both Spyders and both our hondas using castrol 10-40.

This is what we use in Ted's Red Sled, for over 24,000 Miles of Smiles so far.

Thanks for the info ya all.. I've been happy with Mobil 1 4T for the last year, again a change in the label got me asking the question.. Since the post I have changed the oil and all seems to be just fine, I KNOW the spYder likes it anyway.. Again, Thank you..
