• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Greetings

My riding partner has a new to her 2010 RT........made the decision after demo rides......... everything looked good..........but she ended up with a custom Corbin seat probably spec 'd for a giant.......... and she is rather petite. So my question is ..... does anyone here know the specs on original equipment seats just to ease my mind before starting a search for a seat with a nice smaller bucket than the Corbin. I understand there might be two possibilities........ a standard seat and a comfort seat......anyone know the specs on these so I can use my tape when viewing possible seats......... can't have her sliding all over the seat trying to hang on the bars........

Thanks

How tall is she, and what is her inseam? :dontknow:
No doubt; a standard seat (preferably off of a 2014 or later bike), would fit her just fine...
They changed some of the contours on these later seats, and they seem to allow for better support...
I'll see if I can you some comparison pictures, but I believe that the comfort seat gives the rider about 2 more inches of legroom.

SEATS

..I'm 99% sure all RT seats fit all years , so look for a used 14,15 OEM seat ( I've seen quite of few here )......Then you can also get a Utopia backrest that is real easy to put on DIY for way less money that OEM....Mike

I have a new 2014 seat, with less than 500 miles on it if you would be willing to make a trade. I could send you pictures if you are interested.

Attached are some pictures of a 2014 RT OEM seat and Comfort Seat, the one that gives the rider two more inches of leg room. Left to right first picture left is the OEM seat, the second picture shows the lumbar support contour of the Comfort Seat, number three is the lumbar support contour of the OEM seat, and number four is the lumbar support for the OEM seat from above. To get the extra leg room of the Comfort Seat the lumbar support is moved rearward and the support area where the backrest can be installed is shortened and tapered at the rear so as not to encroach on the passenger seat. Later model seats, don't know when change was made, have a removable cap for insertion of a backrest while earlier model seats do not and the seat material must be cut to insert a backrest.

I am 5'5" and have a 27 inseam. I have changed over to BRP Comfort seats on both my 2011 and 2014 :spyder2::ani29:'s. There is about a 2" set back--but I find the seat gives much better support. I can ride all day on the comfort seat, where I had to get off every 50 - 100 miles on the OEM seat version.

Sound like you have lots of offers. Let me add one more, stock 2105 RT with less than 100 miles on it. I'll add my interest in the Corbin seat, too.
