• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rode my 2012 RTL VTwin 375 miles there and back for a Patriot Guard mission Friday. On the way home the charging system gave out and I rode about 125 miles on the battery. So now I am looking at replacing the RR and the stator. I have watched Smoaks video on that and it seems fairly straight forward. Anybody else done this? Is there anything he didn't cover? Any tricks? Also I couldn't find the stator on cheap cycle parts. Anybody have the part #. Or which fiche it is in? TIA. Spyder currently has almost 63,000 miles.

In the BRP Roadster parts catalog go to fiche 03- Magneto and Electric Starter. The Stator Plate is Item 8 in the fiche, PN 420685500, $441.99 and is available. CCP lists it in the same fiche by title at same price.

I would make really sure the " stator " has Failed. .... either eliminate all other causes and/or test the Stator......jmho .... Mike

Thank you all for your responses. Wow they are pretty proud of that stator. Mike it has been my experience that when one goes it takes the other with it. I will be testing them both but don't hold out much hope.

Thanks Jerry that's good info for all of us. Maybe he can also make it a little more powerful too. I'll ask.
