• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

R.I.P. Spyder 2683 up in flames

My $0.02... fire starts at the canister/rear exhaust header, burns the high-pressure fuel lines right above it... fuel is sprayed under pressure on the flames. Then other things that can burn, do... insulation, plastic, seat, etc.

.

This makes sense to me as to why the fire is sustained after an initial fume burst. I'm due to change oil here soon and I am going to study this a bit further to confirm. But I think you are on the right track...

Might just do a canisterectomy while I'm at it...

Thanks for the pics-- WOW--- really shows how bad this was....

One thing--- the photo you have marked as 'Canister Area' is not where the canister is/was--- it's up and to the left.....

Just noticed the new Avatar.... Did you do that just for me!? :dontknow:

why you 2 have to gang up on another is unknown to me.

You may have this entire exchange out of context as our 'victim' is a dearly beloved person married to the 'Person I no longer name' and is completely unrelated to this thread.

There... I'm sure my explanation has cleared this up completely! :roflblack:
