Went to the Salinas Walmart and they did not have any. Asked them to call the store in Marina and they had 22 of them. Sue said well we might as well go over there "what's another 12 miles" we already went 50 so far. Went over there and found the display "wasn't with the other toys, they put them in an entirely different part of the store. Then I called SLO and he said he wanted one, so we picked up another, Sue said well we might as well call him and see if he wants to meet us half way. What is another 30 miles up the road. So on to Gilroy we go & meet at the Arby's, had a nice visit and then 75 miles back to King City. At least we got home before the Sharks hockey game.

Have you all looked at the stats on this thread? It must be too cold to ryde. :doorag:

Had a very productive day, we had a very good planning meeting for Spyderfest. Then hit several Walmarts, twisted a few arms of employees and manage to find these two.

We went to 4 Wal-Mart's today, drove a couple of hundreds of miles; finally paid off, WE GOT OURS!!!!! :clap:

Tomorrow we are off to the High School, time to do some trailer parking practice , and play with my new toy :2thumbs:

Sharon we wound up in Union for these, sorry but they were the last two they had, said 8 more were on order however they may have just said that to get rid of us. On the way home we stopped at our Wally World and tried our tactics again without luck. Guess we were a bit too intense since a manager showed up to back up the two sales clerks we had pinned.

The E-Bay Rip-Off

One might call it 'free enterprise' ... I call it somebody being an unethical @#$%! The things retail for about $50 bucks and the @#$%'s allowing bids on them for $100 or whatever some desparate person or person's willing to pay. That sets the law of supply and demand on 'em I suppose, but are we really that needy? Perhaps I'd allow myself to be so connived if there was an RT version ... or at least an RS in black.

Finally scored mine as well!! :2thumbs:

Got 2 of them, one in each color. Found them at the Wal-Mart in Columbia. Had I been a little more patient I could've gotten them at the Wal-Mart in Jeff City but by the time they called me saying they found them in the stockroom I was already on my way back home from Columbia. So any other Mid-MO members that are still looking and keep striking out, try the Wal-Mart in Jeff City or the Wal-Mart in Columbia off of Conley Rd., from the Broadway Rd. exit off of Hwy 63.

Well, went to try and find one of these sweet little things, took 20 min with a manager digging thru their website only to be told that they didn't get any, won't be getting any, and don't take rain checks. Hmm, hows that for the worst customer service around, especially since I'm a willing, paying customer to!
