• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

If your getting more than one make sure they are different channels. The offer 49MHz and 27Mhz. Once I get mine I'll probably convert it to work with my high end radios and gear and post it as a project showing how I did it.

Fuel powered? I would like to see this project done.

I verified they are not channel selectable. My plan is to gut mine of the cheep servos, receiver, speed controller and motor and replace it all with quality RC gear I use in my other RC toys. This will be my winter project.

I'm also looking to deck out the lights and paint job to closer match my Phantom. My wife is already rolling her eyes!

Personally, I would choose 2.4ghz with a Futaba line of servos. I could easily use either my Futaba 14mz or my Futaba 3Pk. Both are on 2.4ghz.

Along with my Align 450Trex, 500Trex and my two MA-Fury's.

I went to the local Wal-Mart and the guy said they are at the warehouse and should be in the store by Thursday or Friday.

Hmmmm...brushless and lipos. And I thought the real Spyder spun it's real wheel easy, these will need VSS after that convertion.

Went to local WM with barcode in hand this time---- It scans as a valid item--- but they checked inventory and ZERO. None in the store. None in transit. None in our local DC. She didn't think they will ever have them.:yikes:

So--- the search continues---- might need a trip to Chicago anyways-----:2thumbs:

Come to New Jersey, I found a store today with 15 on the floor.

Spyder RS toy

Just got back from my local Wal-Mart. As of right now there are none in stock yet but I gave him the barcode and he looked it up and it shows they have 22 coming in sometime this week. The guy was kind enough to take my name and number down and said he will call me as soon as he receives them in but to be on the safe side I am calling him at least once a day to check :roflblack::2thumbs:

Wal-Mart in Jeff is at the corner of Stadium Blvd. and MO Blvd. I am not sure where St. James is but if you come in on Hwy 50 from Hwy 54 take the Dix Rd. exit, make a left at the light then a right on MO Blvd. and Wal-Mart is maybe a mile up the road, if that :D

According to a store employee who checked on the UPC, Southern California is getting atleast 2-4 in each Walmarts by this weekend. :doorag:
BTW, would purchasing a Spyder RC constitute as a bonafide Spyder owner??? :joke:

Spyder toys are in!

The Brunswick Maine Walmart has 15 on the floor and another 20 in the back. I picked up a red one and have been test driving it all evening. Paperwork says the battery will last @15 min after a 4 hr charge.. I need a few spares!:spyder2:

Now to start the mods...:gaah:

So I went back to pick up a few more and notice that they have two different frequency, yellow is 27mhz and red is 49mhz.
