• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Quick change panel question

Yes, I sent a note to BRP and they said it would be installed at the dealer during the next oil change. I don't want to pay dealer price for an oil change so I sent a note to the only dealer close by to see if I can get it and the new SE5 oil filter cover and have not heard back. I will have to take that as a NO!!!!

Voucher.

Yes, BRP sent an envelope with the letter, voucher and the new maintenance schedule. The voucher is for dealers to order the new panel. It takes a dealer code for BRP to send the new panel.

I just bought mine in October and have not seen any kind of letter.

Are you sure you don't already have the new panel? I would think the dealer would have made the change on Spyders in his inventory. If not, have your dealer check into it for you.

I installed my kit today. I was just wondering if others had trouble getting one. I talked with the dealer when I bought it and he didn't have any kits in stock and said I would receive a voucher from BRP. I called them and was told I would not receive a voucher, but gave me a call ID number to give to the dealer. Went thru a act of congress to get one.

As I recall; the voucher letter came last June... There was an expiration date on it (I think!) for May of 2013. There's still lots of time in which to get the ball rolling...

New Transmission Filter and Cap

A couple months ago local dealers only had the complet kit which include the filter, cap, O-ring for the price of a filter; forget exactly but around $7-8. If they are still doing this, you can get the cap that way.

As to the panels, apparently each dealer is different. I did have my dealer do an oil change (only one ever done by a dealer) just to get the panel but later I was at the dealer with a buddy who wasn't due for an oil change but had just had one right before the panels became avail and the dealer gave him one to install himself.

I had my RT at Cowtown a few months ago for wires n plugs. Also gave them the letter for the panel. Looked under the RT yesterday while installing Baha Rons sway bar and there is no panel. An oversight perhaps?

Same here. Purchased ours late Oct and have received no notices of any kind from BRP. How does one identify whether the dealer already did this on their 2012 inventory? Is it easy to visually identify?

The letter went out in June 2012, so purchasers that registered their warranties after that date (and probably some just before) would not have been sent one. They were not reissued to the best of my knowledge.

Doug you can tell if you have the new panel by removing the left side panel like you are checking the oil. If the grill almost falls out and only has a ring that fits around the top grommet holding it in place you have the new setup. There is no panel under the RT just a new black plastic panel just above the left foot peg.

My dealer accidentally gave me two kits, when they sent mine. I haven't returned it, as they said not to worry, and are 170 miles (round trip) away. If anyone still needs one, it's yours for the postage.
