• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Question: re matte gray finish

I have a 2014 RT Limited with the matte gray finish. The owner's manual says that this finish requires special treatment and to refer to the CD disc for maintenance. There was no disc with the owner's manual or with the other paper work. Does anyone know how I can get a copy of this disc or find out what the requirements are for maintaining this finish?

Thanks,

Ken

I am not sure exactly what BRP recommends but, other manufactures say, "do not wax or polish". Many suggest washing with dishwashing soap to remove oil, grease and road grime. Do not use detergent. It is very hard on the paint.

Dawn dish soap and blow dry after. I use an electric leaf blower. Had the same type of finish on my Harley Night Rod and that's what I was told to do by the Harley dealer.

Thanks to all for the information. I will put the car polish away:)

I use these products from Chemical Guys on my F3T and it works for me. I'm sure there are other great products out there for most matte finishes. Now if I can only find a way to keep the dust off during my rides it would stay clean most of the time. I like the color, but it's tough to keep clean!

It may be difficult to keep the dust off, but the color is beautiful. Wish mine was that color, dust or not.
