There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Question on operation---RTS SE5

My question- and I have many----(Sadly)

Is there a way to listen to the radio on a 2012 RTS SE5- without the ignition key on? When my ignition key is on, my LED fender lights and dash etc., is all active. Can you just turn the "Accessory" on like a car? Does playing the stereo without running drain the battery quickly?

Can't find these types of answers in my literature.

Thanks!

Hold down the MODE button while you turn the key off. The audio will continue until you turn the Spyder on again, or turn the 4-waqy flashers on and off. A few other lights will light, but not the entire dash. Watch the amount of time you leave it on...you can easily run the battery low, especially if it is in marginal condition to begin with.

Playing Radio with RT off

Thanks for this question. And thanks for the answer Scotty! I like to listen to the radio while I wash and wax the RT and always just turned on the key. With all the lights on I to was concerned with running down the battery (there is a lot of plastic to clean and wax on these things).

I heard the BRP representatives mention this one at the open house that I attended last Month...
An "unadvertised feature", was how they put it...

 But then it wouldn't have been a surprise...
And folks would be finding ways to kill their batteries and blame BRP for it...

I just tried this, and the radio did stay on after a short delay. The dash stayed on too, and the bike showed the Limp Home Mode too.

The Reps mentioned that it wasn't mentioned anywhere...

...just our secret!
