• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Question of Quality Control and Warranty Issues

Just got off the phone with a guy named Brent working at Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP Can-AM corporate) I had the left saddlebag open and the front hinge broke off, Went to dealership as I thought this would be under warranty. The bike was less than 6 months old. I had previously checked the internet, especially Spyder CAN-AM resources, only to find that the left saddlebag hinge breakage was a common occurrence, that the manufacturer knew that a metal hinge on a thin plastic casing, breaks free on the slightest bump. The dealership was able to talk to Can-Am and the solution is they would pay for the new part $59.99 and I would be charged labor at first estimated at $235.00 with the actual being $171.00. I had no choice so that was over and done with. Today I thought I would make a call to file a complaint about quality control and try to get a better understanding just what is covered under the warranty, with the hope that I might be able to recoup some of the Labor fees. To make it short and sweet, I like the way the Can-Am handles the road it is a fine machine but I will make it known what my opinion is as I will be posting a sign everywhere I park by my Can-Am as I ride throughout this country warning CAN-AM DOES DOES NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT. 1 (888) 272-9222. See owner for full story. Now tomorrow I must go back to the dealership to have them look at the left rear bag again as it still is not opening when the lever is applied without pushing the lid inward. The right bag opens smoothly. I am almost afraid to go to the dealership as I may be looking at another Labor charge. Any suggestions?

Just wondering why you didn't go to the dealer you bought the Spyder from??? Which dealer did you bring it to?

Warranty work

Of course it is covered! It is a poor design. Weak. Part of the problem is BRP pays .9 of an hour to do that job, which took all afternoon, for two of us! Our dealer was thrilled we did it! I imagine your dealer just did not want to do it; so, not BRP: BBB ON YOUR DEALER! File a complaint with BBB and BRP. Not an option to do warrantee repairs! They want to be a dealer, do the dealer duty! Joe
