• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Question from a new spyder owner

Was looking at Lamonster pictures and came across this and noticed my miles still indicate in tenths after the total miles. Do I need to have this up-graded or this a recall. Mine is a 08 GS SE5.
Thanks, David (Warlock)

You only need it if you're getting close to 65,000 total miles and you don't want your odometer to go to Zero. It isn't a safety or other serious issue beyond that. The temp adjustment is also a non-issue as it only changes the reading on the gauge. It makes no real world difference other than it seems that your Spyder is running hotter when it is not.

Thanks for the reply. I'll be doing business with you in the future. This is my wifes Spyder. I ride a 99 half breed Valkyrie Tourer

Ah yes! The Valkyrie! My beloved Emerald Green & Cream Tourer. This is me in Colorado on my way to Kansas City (a few years back).

So, now you need this! The Oil Temperature / Dip Stick Gauge for the Valkyrie! (which it just so happens I sell!) :roflblack:

Also, as I understand it, (once the update is done) the tenths digit does not disappear until it needs to - you reach that magic number.

Wait a minute!! You live in TN and were on your way to Kansas City and took the pic in Colorado. I hate to tell you but you took a serious wrong turn probably near St Louis. :roflblack::roflblack:

More likely it means you are a true motorcyclist.

No, it means I lived in San Diego California at the time.... But either way works for me!

I know with a car, if you reset the mileage on your odometer it was against the law in Pa. Did BRP think a Spider would not last more than 65,000 miles:duh: or do you get a new warranty if you do it in less 2 years.:roflblack:
