I road up and done the motel thing at $100+ and I've done the toy hauler at $50 with some food saving. This is much prefered, especially when you have friends camping with you.Americade in June...

Camping today can be like rolling your house and garage down the road and setting up shop in less than an hour, just on a smaller scale.Well I do have to admit that my Missus's idea of camping is when room service is limited to pizza from the shop next door...pps:
Spyderfest is worth the trip regardless of the weather. I'll be coming from Las Vegas next year and I can't wait.
Believe it or not Jim, there is 8 to 12" predicted here tomorrow

Don't forget... Snow is a lot like sex! You never know how many inches you'll get or how long it'll last! :roflblack:Believe it or not Jim, there is 8 to 12" predicted here tomorrow
We are planning on going to the Spyderfest this year in Cuba, MO. We were all signed up for last year but as you probably remember the weather around here was very cold and rainy and they were having the tornados and really bad weather out that way last year, so we cancelled.Hopefully this year it will be better
ray:........anyhow I was just wondering if any from the Saturday morning group at the Roscoe Diner were planning on going out there this year? Would love to ryde out with any or all of you that can make it or for that matter anyone who might be interested in going from the East.
Been there for 4 years now and our group is getting bigger each year. Last year we had a get together one night and some riders came in from town to join us. Look forward to it again. Bob 3 swimming pools and hot tubs and for those that don't have campers, they have cabins. Last year there were 8 of us SLs and others with bikes. Hopefully if Phantom 888 ( Tim & Sherry) comes again this year he will get with our group. We must all book early.Rnet, I agree that trailering and camping can be a blast too, and we plan to do that for Americade this year. It would be great if we could get a group together at the same campground. Lake George RV Park...... I'm just sayin. Bob, this place has ammenities I think even your wife could camp with.:bbq:

I would try to make it if it were not the week before Americade. I will pulling into Lake George on 6/2/12 and staying all week. The Gawkers will be riding all week with one special Wednesday Ride like in the past. Jim, will you make it back to Americade, if I was retired it would be good timing, Ride from one to the other, but I can't take 2 weeks off in a row and there is no better event for me.:banghead:We are planning on going to the Spyderfest this year in Cuba, MO.
