• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Question for all my learned peeps?

Does anyone on the forum have any idea on how to keep the night time dash color, the black back ground with the orange high lights on with out going to the brighter white day time running mode???? Please help any one, any one!:banghead::banghead::helpsmilie::helpsmilie:

If you figure it out, please let me know. I'd like to try it as I find the daytime panel way too dim.

Do as Scotty said, OR I am using a "suction cup" ball mount that I apply at the upper right hand side of the speedometer gauge. In other words if you are looking at your speedometer gauge on the left hand side (assuming this is an RT-S) then place the suction cup at the 2:00 area. Admittedly the suction cup does cover a lot of your speedometer readings though.

Find where the sensor is on the display (by trial and error) and tape it over.

Ok my next question is where is the sensor located I have tried with a very bright flashlight in my dark garage to locate it with no success. Any ideas on where to look for it? :banghead:

If you ever find it you need to post it on the front page. You can't even see if you're turn signals are working with the normal daytime background. I will look when I get home. I have an idea, I was able to find teh one on my car for my headlights.

I can't say for sure, but mine is where I described in my earlier reply. My suction cup is fairly large so it wasn't so much of a "hit or miss" thing. I'd suggest starting your spyder, getting out in the sunlight and then placing duct tape (like someone earlier suggested) in different areas of your speedometer guage. I think you'll find after a couple of placements, the background will change to night time mode. (at least mine does). Mine was in the area of 2:00 on the speedometer guage.

Do some "Testing" with your left thumb...
When you find the proper spot (approxiimately 2:00 position);
A small piece of duct, or electrical tape; ought to do the job... :D

I was waiting for you to post as I knew you had the information.

If your flashlight is LED it most likely won't work. You need to use an old fashioned incandescent bulb flashlight in order to have the light spectrum the sensor responds to. LED puts out the wrong color light. At least that's the way it is with the sensor for my headlight modulator.
