• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Question About Tricled SpyderFenderz

I am interested in possibly installing the Spyderfenderz Leds from Tricled to replace the oem reflectors on my front wheel fenders on my 2013 STS. My question is does anyone here have experience installing these, and if so how do the reflectors come off? Are they just stuck on with an adhesive or do you have to take the fender off to unscrew them some how? My concern is I have some vinyl graphics installed already on my fenders and if I have to use a heat gun to unstick the reflectors I am wondering if that might cause my graphics to peel and ruin them in the process. I may not have anything to worry about at all but I just thought I would put it out there to the experts if any has experience installing these. Thanks in advance for any info you guys can provide :)

I'll be following this post

I'll be following the replies you get on this as I am interested in adding them as well. Thinking about just having it done at SpyderFest and not worrying about the install.

Thanks for the link :) I am wondering how the reflectors are removed though. It looks like they are just stick on and you remove them with heat or something, but I am not sure.

Zooming in on pic from that link i see grip washer inside ImageUploadedByTapatalk1455513467.873222.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1455513476.970968.jpg. Not 100% as I have not done myself. You may wanna pm the op of that thread. Tricled should have good instructions. & know you can call /email for any extra help. Great customer service fyi.

No worries!

Probably done a couple of dozen. Remove wheel. 3 8mm screws. Remove them. 2 torx screws, not fender support screws. Remove them. Gently pry cover off - tabs at bottom. Remove 8mm screw on tip light. Invert cover, see speednuts on red and Amber reflectors. I use an icepick and remove the speednuts. Reflectors remove easily. No heat or chemicals required.
If you run into trouble, call. Joe

Yup! :agree:
I used a wide pocketknife blade, to get under them and "convince" them to vacate the area...

It's sort of easy to remove some wrong bolts during this process...
You only want to remove the top plastic piece that holds the reflectors and the front light. If you find yourself pulling fender mounting bolts: back up!! nojoke

Yep a grip nut on the back side and they are off. Its easier to remove the wheels than remove the fender..IMO..

With the new style fenders, take of the wheels and remove the fenders as stated above. We removed the reflector using dental floss and cleaned with alcohol to get a good bond with the new lights.

I have an STS and have pretty much been upgrading it everywhere... got new grips, ultimate seat, graphics, the lidlox, and I plan to get the corbin hard bags and add all sorts of lighting to it, lol... it never ends but so much fun.
