• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello,

Two questions on the Garmin Zumo 660 that comes with the RT.

1.. How do you clear the turquoise routes on the screen that show where you have been?

2. What software do you use to program routes on your Garmin? I'm looking for some tonight...

Thanks!

In settings, you can turn off tracking.
Garmin has a program called Base Camp you can download.

The Folks at Harley have a good travel site

Once you load Base Camp on the Garmin one of the best sites to go to for travel routes is located here

http://rideplanner.harley-davidson.com/rideplanner/ridePlanner.jsp

You can plan out your trip on the Harley ride planner, make any modifications or corrections you wish, save it in their database and then download it to your Zumo 660 using Basecamp. The software is very user friendly and you can drag the icon over to various roads to change the routing if you want to explore.

I have already mapped out our route to and from Spyderfest and plugged in the motel stops we have reserved for the nine nights of our trip. (We're going to explore a lot).

Garmin also has a program called MapSource I've used for years. I can't get BaseCamp to download for me, but MapSource (though it's not particularly user friendly), works quite well.
