There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Question about Mileage after Display Swap from CB Issue and State Inspection

clueless

New member
Has anyone had any issues with their STATE inspection on a Spyder AFTER you have the new 2011 display to fix the CB TX issue? with the mileage going to zero .... most of us will have LESS miles then the last time we had our Spyder inspected.

Has anyone had theirs reinspected with the new lower mileage submitted for your inspection? :(

I am worried about this as well. But I was also told the Automobiles are the ones they care about, and not Motorcycles or recreational vehicles. This does vary from State to State I would imagine as well... :chat::dontknow:

We now have 40 miles on our RT-S (Was over 4400) as we just had ours replaced...

We had just under 5K. will have to send picture of the mileage now and a pic of the work order to get our 5k pin from BRP I guess :spyder:

dealer called the DOT and left message but no one ever called back on what form needs filled out or anything.

some on here will have a ton of miles that will go to zero. also when selling if there was an official form would be nice to be up front on true mileage.

We don't have "motorcycle" inspections in Ohio, but trying to anticipate selling my Spyder in the future I had my dealer prepare a letter on their letterhead stating the VIN and that the instrument cluster was changed at _____miles resulting in an odometer reading of zero and that to ascertain the true miles add_____miles to the odometer reading.

Great thinking about the letter but my dealer did not record the mileage and since I really thought they would on the work order I didn't either.

Dumb on both of our part.

I now have 3090 miles on the new cluster and my calculation I'm just about due a 10,000 mile pin but don't have proof to send in.

I had close to 14K on my bike when I had the CB fix. Now I have about 800 miles.
There are no annual inspections in CT, but how do I get the 25K pin ??
OR, can I get a SECOND 5K pin ??

Wouldn't your dealer have HAD to record your odometer reading or enter it into BRP's system somehow because it was a warranty issue approved by BRP?

:lecturef_smilie:It seems from reading these threads, I might need to take a digital time stamped photo prior to any work done at the dealer..

And is what we did... Simply because you just never know... :2thumbs::doorag::spyder2:

:agree:I've never know any dealer, with any type of vehicle that didn't write the mileage down, warranty or not.
But i guess there's always an exception.:dontknow:

mine asked me mileage when I pulled it in .. I guesstimated it .. it was close but not exact. that is what they used on the Work Order.

I called and reminded them to record mileage before pulling display. OK will do.. well tech forgot ... a great tech by the way but just forgot so we went with the mileage I had told them.

they modified the WO notes to show that mileage was set to zero. I am still trying to get an official letter on letter head.

as for how to get mileage pin
