...New Jersey-Maryland-West Virgina-Virgina.
That's how many states we drove through yesterday. :2thumbs: I wish I could have took some more pics but we were on a roll. I'll give you the highlights.
When we left Quebec it was really foggy and hard to see. I would get right up on the lights before I could see if they were green or not. I got to tell you I was sure glad I had my GPS for getting out of there in the fog.
The border crossing was a breeze, no real issues there. Our first fuel stop was in a little town in New Hampshire, that was cool so I called my buddy Jammie to let him know I was in his state.:doorag:
It was a little bit cold and the fuel stop had a Dunkin Donuts right there so I grabbed a couple of donuts and a coffee. While we were there some folks were taking pics of the Spyder. :doorag: I had to take a leak and I saw this sign and thought about my buddy SpyderPops (Harvey) :roflblack:
Once again I was glad I had the GPS to get through New York. This was the first time I had been downtown and it was pretty crazy, upper levels, lower levels and toll roads. I made one wrong turn and wound up in the Bronx. We needed fuel anyway so I pulled over at the first station. That's where the fun started. Ron's two credit cards got shut off and it was taking us way longer than I wanted it to, to get out of there, gangbangers were pulling up asking me all sorts of questions about the Spyder while Ron is just trying to get fuel. I was keeping my cool while they were jacking me up and I told them "you know Snoop Dog has one of these", they said yes they knew and thought it was "Bad Azz".
I got more thumbs up in New York and New Jersey than any other states.
We finally got fuel and got the heck out of there and it started to rain pretty good so we pulled over on the highway under a bridge. All I had was a rain jacket but Ron suited up. Now at this point I got to pee but I wasn't about to leave my Spyder at that gas station in the Bronx while I was taking a leak, guess I've seen too many movies where the guy goes in a store and comes back out and his car is stripped and sitting on blocks. :yikes:
I wanted to take a leak right there under the bridge but that wasn't cool so I held it till the next stop. We got to a toll entering Pennsylvania and the guy taking the money wanted to talk about the Spyder while we're sitting in line. I was friendly with him but I had to go. Ron was behind me so when I pulled up there was a visitors center right there so I made sure Ron saw me and I pulled into it to take a leak. Well he saw me but looked away again and thought I headed down the road so he took off trying to catch me. This is where everything broke down.
So here's the rules when you're traveling with another person.
So I get a call from Ron and like I said he's a 100 miles from where we got separated and was on the phone with his credit card company because they shut him off. We met at another fuel station and I gave him a ration for not stopping. He knew he screwed up and apologized. Bottom line is you don't leave the guy you're riding with no matter what. Remember that.:lecturef_smilie:
We did get out of the rain but I was soaked to the bone and it was getting dark and I was cold. We are in Virgina now and have about 350 miles till home. I'll write the rest of the blogs this week. It was a great trip all in all and the Spyder did great. I'm over 46,000 miles now I think and she has treated me well. :doorag:

So here's the rules when you're traveling with another person.
- You never take a turn unless the other guy see's you. Ron did but he had a brainfart or something, I don't know.
- If you do get separated pull off at the first place you can and note where you are by the off ramp or landmark.
- Call your buddy and if he doesn't answer leave a voicemail (if you have cell service).
- If you went too far he can catch up to you, if he went too far you can catch up to him.
- Do all this before you're 100 miles away :lecturef_smilie::gaah:
