• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

putting the stock exhaust back on

Stock pipe

I've put pipes on many different bikes over the years and rarely does it gain you any power if it does it just moves the power band up the rev range and takes away from the bottom end where you need it most , but the biggest problem with loud pipes is public preception it's not fair to everyone else to make them have to listen to your machine if they don't want to then turn arround and put earplugs in yourself they don't like motorcycles ar
already why give them anymore reasons plus I can't tell you how many times I was getting on the throttle and then come arround a corner to be suprised by the law if I would have had a loud pipe he would have known just what I was up to but with a quiet pipe I shifted up putted by no ticket , the packing burns out in a few hours with aftermarket pipes the rivets break etc the day is coming soon that the noise police are going to ticket those with loud pipes they are all over at the Oregon dunes doing just that

the hindle adds 4 hp...you don't have a catalytic converter in it...this zaps some of your power...there is a decent difference between stock and the hindle...

We run hindles on both and have no popping noted.

As far as running a lean condition I have been told and run pips for 35 year and unless you change out the air intake there is very few problem with running hot. if you do run hot you just rich-in it up a tad

FYI the popping you hear is happening most of the time on you stock can but you just cant hear it as the fuel is burnt before it get out to the end of the pipe and the converter helps to deaden the pops they happen because at the close of the throttle there is some fuel that is dumped and get wasted out the exhaust.

now with all that I have to say that load it not always better as I get older

I kinda like all the pops and backfires, loud strange noises etc....it sounds like me in the morning when I get up!:ohyea::ohyea::ohyea::ohyea:

hey lefty

if your not going to be using your hindle anymore, howsabout i borrow it for a year or so. i've been wanting to try one out.:clap:GA-SPYDER,check out my thread, h m exhaust, in spyder shoptalk. my baffle system could breath new life into your glasspack. its very tunable, and still sounds way better than stock.did you get my p m ?

Bone Crusher,
Do you know if any other modifications are needed if you swap the stock muffler with a Hindle? I like the look and sound of the Hindle (not obnoxiously loud) but don't want to start adding juice box or other O2 devices.
