• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

PUT ON YOUR THINKING HATS

You guys have been great sharing your ideas. Keep them coming. I would appreciate any of you, who haven't already, going to my Seal Creative Concepts FB page and "Liking" it. Thanks all, and......

The thing I miss the most from my Goldwing and my Midnight Special is on the Vetter fairing. The outside pockets to put things in.One was lockable and one was not. Somehow bolted to the tupperware on both sides of the tank. The glove box is just to small to carry everything you need within reach.

Not quite sure what you mean by a headlight cover.

clear or smoked plexiglass covers that would fit into the recessed areas around the headlights on gs and rs. Doc duru has a prototype set from madstad engineering. they have since abandon the project.

A dog carrier for larger dogs.

I would LOVE it if you could design and fabricate a nice looking, (looks like it goes with the bike) carrier for my 50lb dog. Something that would bolt on the sport rack and could act as a back rest for me as well... with perhaps a small windshield. It doesn't have to be enclosed, my dog will ride on the back no problem and sit or lay calmly (with a harness attached) when the bike is in motion. It's really putting a cramp in my road trips because I can't take her along and I know she would love it... she rode on the back of my ATV on every trail I rode!

I've looked everywhere for a solution, and I'm not really keen on pulling her in a trailer.

Chrome

I don't know if this is possible. It would be nice if you could come up with some kind of chrome piece that could fit the rear rim, kinda like an inside hubcap that is mounted inside the rim maybe with some double sided tape or just a snap in feature. Like those plastic chrome rings that snaps inside a rim. Something to hide the grey painted rim. I want to get some chrome footpegs, and brackets but i hate how it would look without the rear rim being chromed. Chrome plating at a cycle shop with labor to remove rim from bike is too expensive. Just a thought to put in the hat. :hun:

Better floorboard brackets

I have a set of your floorboards and I wasn't as impressed as I was hoping. The very thin tin used in the underside for the mounting bracket is a bit underwhelming compared to the heavy plate steel the base is made of. They sit too high causing the leg to inter fear with making a tight turn and the use of non stainless steal hardware is cheap in comparison to the cost of the set. They are a great idea but compared to other choices that are far better built for less, I wish I returned mine. So if you want a suggestion, make what you have better before trying to make other stuff in a mediocre fashion.

A backrest that utilizes the OEM backrest mount, but can be adjusted fore and aft for a better fit.

It might be a bit too far back if designed to fit your hitch bracket :joke:

+2 - On our initial test ride, missus noted that OEM backrest is too upright... should lean back a bit. Adjustable would be
good. Picking up a 2010 RT-S on Tuesday and bringing it home.

Hey! New Mexico guy... What kind of Spyder (year/model)? I am in the market for a set of boards most likely. PM me if you are interested and they fit a 2010 Can-Am RT-S SM5. And one more thing, bet Sealfloorboards, who helps pay the bills for this site and who uncharacteristically asks his customer base what they would like to see produced, is thrilled to be called out by a dissatisfied customer. If you have a problem, it more likely solved if you don't insult the guy in front of all the Can-Am owners who frequent this forum. I am also a business owner and know that talking quietly and not giving offense in public makes problems go away in a snap. Did you try and contact Mr. SFB? I bet not. Well, good luck and again, if they fit my RT-S SM5 and you want to unload them cheap, just let me know and please use a PM. God bless you for giving me an ear!

I agree with most. I'd like to see the following:
1. Easy to install Gas Access Kit
2. Adj. Handlebar riser kit (economical of course)
3. New style oil dipstick
4. Better backrest and mount.

+1
And is for lower small of the back like a lumber support
