How about a set of decent and easy to install footpegs or floorboards fro the 2008 GS:thumbup:
OR a FM Radio system that is or can be used on the 08-11 Spyders GS/RS and easy to install:thumbup:
OR a bigger and wider windshield for the GS/RS:thumbup:
OR a easier to install brackets for the R35:thumbup:
OR - ANYTHING - that can be used on the 2008 - 2011 Spyder GS/RS would be fantastic:yes::2thumbs:

A properly re-designed dipstick that works. Proper thread design that has pilot boss so it threads easily and a proper groove for the o-ring so it stays on the dipstick when its pulled. The factory dipstick is pathetic. Is really should not be so hard to check the oil. Oil level indications both hot and cold with through peep holes would be good too.

How about longer passenger RT floorboards. Maybe something that partially rotates toward the ground and has a lip on it to set your feet on. Not sure of the logistics but I my first accessory purchase will be the Seal floorboards once I save the $$, and I was thinking while out on a ride today that my wife would like to stretch her legs out too without having to wait for a stop light to stand up.

2nd suggestion would be an affordable metal RAM mount for the center of the steering column. Nothing fancy. There are really only a few options available one is $105+ and the others are $45+ and both are over engineered for the purpose. It could be done much simpler and cheaper with stamped sheet metal and a couple of bends.

I get a lot of requests for some kind of passenger floorboards. They are on my possibility list. If you're waiting for a good time to get your Seal RT Floorboards, there has never been a better price or time than right now. Great savings. My suggestion is to beg, borrow or steal (no, not steal:lecturef_smilie and order them while the sale is still on.

Does not do any good for the many thousands of 2008 through 2013 Spyders which far outnumber the 2014s at this point. None of his products are any more universal than this one would be.

What is it with 2014 owners that never miss the opportunity to expound the greatness of the new bike. We get it already. Added absolutely NOTHING to this conversation.

How about some functional air scoops for the pre-2013 RSS? I have overheating fuel issues with my 2001 RSS that BRP doesn't seem to want to address. Dan Easley has a good design for some homemade ones.

Yes on heated grips

Passenger heated grips for the ST/RS. While my hands are nice and toasty up front my wifes has numb finger tips.

I agree with the heated grips! My wife & I share a 2014 ST Limited and we share the pilot duties as well. Heated grips for the passenger is a much needed feature.

I guess I am odd man out. Yes there are many good ideas from a lot of owners that want their Spyder better for themselves. Obviously, if the idea goes into production it can be good for others too.

When I first read this topic a couple days back, my first idea was not something for me or our personal machine. After thinking more about it, I would like to see you get approval from or work with the guy from Scandinavia with the wheel chair carrier setup and help to let those with a dream to ride, possibly see the dream come true.

I watched the video here about the wheelchair carrier. Smiled a lot to see desire overcome a setback.

Watched TV, ans saw on Counting Cars, how "the count" I think his name is Danny, had his crew build a Spyder for a vertically challenged person. The person always wanted to ride a motorcycle but could not since it would simply fall over as his feet could not touch the ground. He bought a Spyder and they modded it so he could ride.

I have been fortunate to ride bicycles, pull rope mini bikes, dirt bikes, and even raced dirt bikes since I was young. My wife and I own a Spyder mainly for her, since she is not into two wheeled moto travel.

I have seen with my wife, and watched others I don't know smile from ear to ear because they get to enjoy something we already know. Riding.

So, yes, I would enjoy seeing you help by offering a wheelchair carrier, and secondly offering a bolt on setup to allow shorter riders including very short people enjoy riding if they want and funds allow it.

Im spoiled on older engines i cld wrk on. (Ford straight 6. Or 350 V8. ) hash marks = qt of oil. Hot, cold didnt matter just level & off. & ez open hood to ck regularly ...........

Thanks PK for your very thoughtful post. I've seen the video but I think the Wheel chair idea is a bit beyond my scope right now. It is a GREAT idea and I hope someone with more resources will do it. The raised Floorboards has, however, has made it to my "possibilities" list. Thanks again, and.....
