• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Purchase Pending on New Spyder....Questions

Hey Guys!,
It seems after reading all the posts on different forums and especially spyderlovers, (great site!) that there are lots of problems with the spyder even the new ones. This is disturbing for purchasing a new $30K vehicle with the can am name. It seems that something that expensive would have better quality control! Having said that, the spyder lovers still embrace their machines despite their faults. In the back of my mind, I'm thinking that the majority of owners don't have any problems. I hope this is correct and I happen to get a good one.

I have priced a White RT Limited. Only because I like white. Hate to pay that much extra only for the color, cause, I certainly won't use the luggage, I don't think. Maybe I should wait for the 2013's and hope the colors change and the kinks are getting out in the next model year. Just thinking out loud!

Thanks for all the great info! Any comments will be appreciated. Especially someone with a trouble free spyder!!! Are you out there???

It took me about a month of research to decide between the Harley Trike and the Can-Am Spyder RT Limited. The safety features on the Spyder got me to go with the 2012 RT Limited in the Pearl White! I really liked the extras that came with the limited. I have not had any trouble with it except learning how to work everything on this high tech machine. I don't have many miles on it only had 128 miles on it before going on a 268 mile ride Saturday with the SRA group. I can tell you this much, they handle very well in the rain! Much like driving a car around the curves, except fot the fact that you will get wet without a rainsuit but I was lucky and had my old Harley rainsuit handy! I now have 396 miles on it and am loving it more with each mile, I don't think you will go wrong in getting the 2012 RT Limited in the Pearl White, it's a great looking bike!!

We are very happy owners. I agree about making sure your dealer knows what they are doing. We are blessed to have a great dealer only about 10 miles from home. Ask the dealer how many of their techs have actually traveled to Cam Am training events and workshops. Ask the service manager how often he visits the Sypderlovers site. I think it is important to have a dealer who is excited about the product and not just selling Spyders because they also just happen to sell other Can Am products.
