• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

pulling trailer w/ spyder RS?

Looking for some suggestions about the possibility of pulling a trailer w/ Spyder RS?
Dealership near me offering 2010 RT trailer at great sale price and i was curious about how to make it work w/ my 2010 RS. Also, looking for ideas about the trailer hitch, like which type might be best, where to buy it and ease of install?

Either the aftermarket hitch or the BRP hitch for the RT would work, but the trailer harness/module included with the BRP hitch won't fit the RS. You will have to do wire in a connector or converter. For a 2010 RT-622 with a 6-wire system, you can either connect the right and left brake lights together and wire in a flat-5 connector to both the Spyder and the trailer...or you can forget about the separate turn signals, leave the brakes separate, and wire a flat-4 connector to just the running lights and brake lights, which will also serve as turn signals. The Spyder would have to have a 5-4 converter wired in, such as a Hopkins unit. For the 2011/2012 trailer, you need the converter and will have to change the trailer connector to a flat-4. If you have an SE Spyder, the RS has no trailer mode, so be sure to keep the rpm up to avoid clutch damage. There is a rider here with an RS with an RT-622 trailer, and it is a sharp rig!
