Pulling airbag

Does anyone have experience removing the airbag? When I had first gotten my new RT home from dealer last month the airbag had zero pressure. Every time I would check it would seem a pound or two lower. A few weeks back I installed an aftermarket on board air compressor which gives a constant pressure readout. It confirms a loss of 1 to 2 lbs. per day. I've done multiple leak checks but the one place I can't get at is the fitting on the upper portion of the airbag. Looking at it from the bottom it looks like I could unbolt it (after removing pressure) and slide it out to check the top of the bag and the fitting for a leak. Has anyone successfully removed one from the bottom without removing all of the upper stuff? Thx for any help..Tom

I went round and round with this back in 2010 and finallly decided that it would be easier to remove everything from the mirrors back. Even then I had a devil of a time maneuvering it out of it's mounts.
My problem turned out to be a faulty upper fitting that had not been fully silver soldered when it was manufactured.

Ok I'll bite where the H#LL is the airbag, and what is it for.

Sink---thx--I'm going to try to look at it closely tomorrow with a snake camera before I start doing major surgery. I can always bring it to a dealer but I'm sure they'll hassle me since I installed the air compressor. Of course I never touched that top fitting and most likely that's where the leak is.
Dan--all of the RTs have an airbag right next to the rear shock. The base models just have a shraeder valve for it and the higher end RTs have an automatic system where they can adjust it on the fly.
