• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pullback handlebars

We're looking at a 2012 RSS for my wife whose arms are quite short . She really wants to pull the handlebars back several inches but I see nothing in the aftermarket for this. She recently ran into a couple in Greeley who had setback that replaced the ends of the stock handlebars. She didn't ask where they got them.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Little checking..

Check the sponsor vendors here. Look for riesers there are adjustable ones. Some have been able to install RT bars as well....

I made some for mine. Used 3 1/2 dog bone risers for 7/8 handlebars. The RT handle bars can be mounted, but a adapter plate will have to be made. The 2013 models has no problem adding the RT handle bars.

Value Accessories, a sponsor here, has a set of pullback risers that will reduce the reach by up to 3 1/2 inches.

They no longer sell the risers. They still have the instructions. Wanted a set for mine about a year ago and was told by them no longer available.

Bummer I really like mine and they were not that hard to install.:dontknow: jtpollock

When I bought my '09 RS I put Helibar risers on. They raised the bar 5" and brought it back 3". There was just cable enough. I then put a tall windshield on and invented my first Seal Floorboards. I almost felt like I was sitting on a cruiser. You can see a photo on my website. Loved sitting taller and straightener. That's when I became aware of what it means to.......
Ride in comfort.

Here is what I used on my wife and my bike.

Hi KPDoucette,

Re: Anybody have any suggestions?

See Post #14. I would suggest that you buy these ASAP; they are not making them anymore.

Jerry Baumchen

PS) The 4 1/2" risers are what I have on my '08.

I didn't go through the buying process to see if they really have them, but this site (CA.) has the Custom Dynamics Easy Risers listed for sale:

http://shop.temeculamotorsports.com...duct_2060193.CUSTOM_DYNAMICS_45_EASY_RISE.htm

I recently added them to my 2010 RSS and they work well!

These are the most compleat kit at lowest price, they are $70 less than Rivco, I like em.
I also like your idea of not cutting the old bar off and using it to mount more junk.:bowdown::yes:

YOU CAN DO THIS ALSO

On the handle bar piece that you add to the " DOG BONE " style just make it One or Both.. slightly longer ...then you can use all sorts off clamp on type devices .................... Mike

Yes,there is an"art" to mounting junk....or a sickness ;) The original bar piece is in a perfect location for accessories!

MAYBE - BECAUSE

Maybe they have some stocked up. Not being made anymore. Don't know why, seems like a good riser.
David
When I bought mine it $25.00 shipped ...... I don't know how they made any money on them considering the workmanship involved ...... jmho ...... Mike
