There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Pull Back Bars For a Spyder

I am working on installing some pull back bars on my spyder. After looking at the BRP riser extension, I have decided on a different approach. I will be designing a new center handlebar cover that will integrate gps and xm radio mounting features and allow different choices of handle bars to be installed. I was able to make all the stock wiring and clutch line work by re-routing. You definately have to remove the top console to do the re-routing. The bars I currently mounted are just some ATV bars the local shop had in stock, kewlmetal will be making bars and the new center console piece. You can see the huge difference in riding position for my lovely wife!

It's back together, except for the center cover of course which will need to be designed next week. The ride is way different, according to my wife it's a big improvement!

Excellent job Matt!!

Could you let us know what bars those are specifically, like brand and sizes(diameter and rise)?

Also, you had no problems with cable/brake line lengths?

Thanks!!

Brad

Thanks Lamont! It doesn't really look too bad except the ugly riser cap and the ignition is just stuck down into the frame so the steering lock is not functional and the ignition is just kinda loose in there. It just so happens that the ignition switch fits just perfectly into the frame opening for a temporary place so it's at least rideable while I get some pieces made to re-mount it. Also, I have not tried to put back the big rubber thingy that covers the big hole ariund the steering shaft. Here is another shot of how it looks:

Hello Matt, It appears that you are the answer to my prayers. I have started having problems with my lower back when I go on extended rides. I even had to make a trip to the hospital when my back locked completely after a long ride. I am a big guy (6'2'", 240 lbs) and it is sucks to have to lean at that angle for extended periods. The doc even said that that particular position is one of the worst for putting pressure on your lower back. You can count on me to place an order the moment you have them ready. Keep up the great work with all of your mod designs. Terry

Hey Matt, That riding position looks fantastic! I am 4'10" and having to lean so far over is killing my back, not to mention that my hands fall asleep. I am excited to see what you come up with!

I wouldn't want to give up the cool center plate and plaque area.... that part really pulls the top of the bike together.

An adjustable riser block would be a better approach IMO....

Hey it don't look real bad that way you have it. I think my wife would love that set up. Any pictures of the wire & cable rerouting. I do got to admit I would like to have my P/E # there though. Good work and keep us informed. Thanks
