• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

price for a 2016 RT Limited in ont.canada

I was at a dealer in NY during spyderQuest and was wondering about the differences in prices. He told me dealers in the states sign a contract saying they cannot sell to Canadian residents. No doubt for reasons mentioned above. Still sucks that we are paying more for a bike made right here.

Maybe you missed my post above. After exchange we pay a lot less.

Nope, I read through all posts, this was a few years back, might have even been at spyders in the Adirondacks, when our dollar was close to par and my RT limited was still 6 grand less then here. Same as when I bought my ATV. Just the way it is.nojoke

I know I'm missing something simple; can you not come to the US, by the bike and drive it across the border to home???

There are even dealers who will ship to you from the US.

We buy our drugs from your web sites because it's cheaper, why not a Spyder from us???

When you buy a spyder from USA. To import into Canada BRP will not honor the USA warranty. BRP dealers are forbidden from selling new spyders across the border. You will need to get a safety done on the spyder before you can register it here in Ontario. Has nothing to do with taxes and import duties, you just pay all that stuff as you enter Canada at border.
So when I buy BRP accessories from the USA I cross the border to pick them up at my USA address mail box because the USA dealers cannot ship into Canada. The same is true for Canadian dealers shipping to USA.
If BRP finds out that a dealer is doing cross boarder trade on new merchandise BRP has option to take away dealership. Used BRP powersports equipment is different does not matter to BRP, but no warranty is covered.

Yes that's correct it was cheaper buying in the US a couple years ago. Now it is cheaper buying in Canada. Driving it for a year then sell to a US dealer. Then buy a new one for very little in extra money.
