Presidents Day snowmobile ride.

Monday was Presidents Day and I had the day off from work, so I decided to get out on my Skidoo and do some riding north of where I live. I hit the VAST trails in the Jay Peak area of Vermont. The wind chill was cold but the sky was sunny all day. I don't think it climbed over 12 degrees F all day. I was dressed warm though and was comfortable for my days ride of 115 miles. These are some of the pictures that I took throughout the day.

Thanks for the comment's! The Jay area of Vermont has always been one of my favorite areas to ride. I have to be honest though, In lower valley's the snow cover was pretty thin. I headed east to the Newport, Barton and Irasburg area's where there are more open flat farm fields and the trails were really wind blown, passable but thin. That is when I headed to higher ground in the Jay Peak region. Thats the way it's been here in VT. If you stay on the higher elevation trails the riding has been pretty good. The low lands need a snowstrom. Today did we recieve more snow and more is expected this week, so that should help build the snow base back. This ride has been my first ride in about a month. I've been fighting sciatia pain all winter. Monday I felt ok to take this snowmobile ride. It was great to get out on the trails and ride again. I hope to take a few more rides before the season ends.
