Prayers for Stan ( Sporter Spyder )

Certainly hate to hear about any of the fellow spyder ryders having an accident and us down here in Tennessee will most certainly be praying for him.

visit with stan

went to visit stan this morning. his spirit is good, he looks good, already joking about sneaking out of the hospital.( the meds are good ) i think he doesn't realize how banged up he is, but he is doing well, and hopes to be going home in the next day or two. thanks to all for the prayers, and keep them coming:thumbup:

I know that is one of my worst fears every time I go out....

:agree: I have had them come across the center line head-on as well as while I am attempting to pass. I am very thankful that I had enough time and space to react and get out of harms way.

:pray::pray: From Oklahoma. Glad to hear he is in good spirits and we all wish for a quick and full recovery.

UpDate on Stan after Teddy & I paid him a visit last night

Geared the Tedster up and off to University Hospital we went to visit our buddy (& fellow SpyderLover SporterSpyder) Stan, after he had been in a head on collision on his 2 wheeler the day before. I wasn't sure what to expect, as his daughter had only posted that he was in a head-on wreck & had to be Air-Lifted to the hospital:yikes: Coz had already stopped by earlier in the day, so I'm sure he was happy to see a couple more of his ryding buddies, including Teddy. He's not nearly as bad as it could have been, only a broken leg, fractured pelvis and a few cracked ribs, but no head or internal (soft tissue) injuries that they could find. He was sitting up and in good spirits when we arrived, tho he's not very mobile at all. We talked for a bit, and he relayed what he remembered about the accident, which was not alot considering he was almost immediately knocked unconscious upon impact. He was on his 2 wheeler, sitting at a light waiting for it to change so he could turn. Another vehicle (no clue what kind) came up over the hill and into his lane and crashed into him head on:yikes: knocking him and his bike back into the car behind him and subsequently the bike went over breaking his right leg and knocking him unconscious, waking up in the hospital:yikes: I think any of us that ride, fear this very scenerio, I know I do:shocked: He's lucky that he was just sitting there and not going forward adding to the momentum, or it may have been much much worse:pray::bowdown::pray: He's thinking he may be able to leave the hospital today and go to a rehab facility to begin his healing process, which is going to take some time for sure:bowdown: I'm sure getting some lick'ns from Teddy helped to lift his spirits  and Teddy and I are both keeping him in our prayers for a speddy & complete recovery. He also wanted me to relay his thanks to ALL of YOU for the well wishes and prayers :pray: Knowing that people from all over the country are praying for you and wishing you well really does help :yes::bowdown: THANK YOU ALL!!!

Man, what a helpless/hopeless situation he was in....absolutely nothing he could do except sit there and get run into! That's terrifying! :yikes:

Very glad to hear there's no head injuries, that's a blessing! Good luck Stan!
