• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Power Fluids

I did start the PowerSports fuel treatment and PF-Moto metal conditioner after SpyderFest (Cowtown is a distributor) http://www.powerfluidsinc.com/index.html

I bought one of the gas treatments and won another one... can't say I notice any difference-- just like I didn't notice any difference with Startron---- but it might be good for the engine to help with the ethanol....

Not gonna try the oil additive.

i feel sorry about you guys not being able to find gas,in kansas you cant hardley find ethinol in the gas.,so i never use it.:D:chat:

I've put both products in my Spyder and I think I am getting better MPG using the fuel additive but I need to run it for a few more tankfuls to really know for sure. Also, I added the oil additive to my Spyder while in Cuba and rode home without any shifting issues. I was told that Cowtown puts both products in every Spyder that they sell so I would think we'd have some complaints about the products if they had a negative effect.

Gas treatment

I've used about half a bottle of the gas treatment now and really have not noticed any improvement. :dontknow:

How does this compare with Star Tron enzyme fuel treatment.....anyone know?

I spent a little time talking with the rep at SpyderFest and he said it was a different take on a similar idea that many of the additive makers have. Summarizing what he said... they all are trying to prevent engine wear in some way, to remove water in fuel and neutralize any other bad effects from ethanol. He stated numerous times that PowerFluid was not a petroleum product but a metal conditioner (I guess meaning that the other products are primarily petroleum products). Read their sales pitch in the link provided in Doc's post.

I just started using Power Fluids fuel treatment yesterday!
I got some at Spyderfest and I wanted to be sure I ran all the Star Tron out of the tank first!
I'll keep you posted!

Most snake oil is the same they just use different snakes. On way to spyderfest wife and I got the same milage. On the way home she used the gas and the oil treatment. I used approx. 1/2 gallon less at every fill up. I thought it was a fair test.
