• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Power Commander for RT

My Spyder would not fit on the dyno that my bike tuner used. Too wide in the front and no place for the wheels to sit. Looking for another choice now.

More feedback...

I thought the stock performance of my Spyder was pretty good, but the PC has made it an even greater pleasure to drive. The smoothness is unbelievable. None of the lumpiness when creeping around in first gear, and instant response at highway speeds. It's a little early to tell, but I think my mileage has improved. Even though the AFR is richer, I'm probably preserving fuel with the smoother throttle twists.

so what exactly does the Optizmizer module do for you ?

did they say what it was for? does the install for the PC V involve anything with the stock o2 sensors? or is the Optimizer involved to tie in the O2 sensors for Dynojet.

again I have to wonder why Dynojet if they make the JB PRO would not just release it under their name right away instead of making a totally new unit with a separate new optimizer module :hun:

we shall see...

Been reading these forums for awhile... but this is the first time I have posted... I have a Spyder RT-S 2010 model and I am having Power Commander and a muffler package installed today. My dealer has done it once already for someone else and it worked very well. And yes, this is hot off the press... this stuff has not been out too terribly long. I will post my observations once I get a change to test out the performance and ride of the bike.

Wish me luck!

did you get the Optimizer module? if so do you know what it does exactly?

If it's like pc for rs, you can get auto-tune for continous tuning as you ryde or wideband2 but more investment is required as LCD is needed.
It does require additional bung for o2 sensor either way.
It looks like they worked out the kinks in o2 module but too bad they decided not to sell it by itself. Dynojet would not say how but just said jb pro handles the closed loop differently...

JBP is made by Dynojet.
On the Spyder RT the Closed loop area is everything up to 40% throttle and 7500 RPM. The current Juice Box Pro targets 13.6:1 Air / fuel ratio in this area. You can make it richer or leaner with the Top Tune software as shown in the video. You will change the whole closed lop area when a change is made.

looking at the software notes for the Power Commander V, I purchased the Power Commander V which comes with the separate O2 Optimizer. I have yet to install but did up date the Power Commander V Firmware via the USB plug and dropped in the 2Brothers Exhaust with stock air filter map in 10 mins. easy peasy.

Reading the HELP screen about the o2 sensor:

O2 Optimizer
If your vehicle has an Oxygen sensor, there will be a region of operating conditions that have closed loop fuel control. The fueling in this region cannot be changed by making changes in the fuel table(s). Your Dynojet O2 Optimizer device has been pre-configured for the closed loop region, however, you may use the sliders to manually adjust the fuel mixture richer or leaner as desired. Not all Power Commander V devices will have this option.

For more information and to better understand where this area is on your map, please contact Dynojet.
-----------------------

so what the O2 Optimizer module does is for the RT it overrides the o2 BRP sensors within the CLOSED LOOP area (up to 40% per lamont) where the bike feeds back to the engine to adjust the O2 output to the BRP Sensor level by adjusting the rich or leaness of the engine. with out it you would add fuel and the bike would lean out the engine anyway in this CLOSED loop area trying to get back to the OEM O2 setting.

this separate O2 optimizer tricks the bike into shifting the stock O2 range to what ever it is Dynojet set for the bike. The o2 module has a plug for a USB cable on it and that is the way you adjust the bike rich or leaner in the closed loop area using the same Dynojet V software.

I am still not sure why for the JB PRO that Dynojet made the O2 Optimzier part of the unit BUT in the PC V they had a separate o2 Optimizer module. (see picture on first post above).
