• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Powdercoat or leave alone???

Well done

Great idea bob!!

Another great idea!!

I'll tell you this....I got it narrowed down to those two choices!! :roflblack:

See , and it didn't even took 20 replies, Pal:roflblack:
Thankfully because more than 20 inputs would make us Women actually:yikes:
.....at least we had a bit of laugh
You know what?
If you powder coat something else , get it done in same batch, leave it otherwise, how about that?:2thumbs:

Once again we agree....this is getting weird! :spyder2:

Problem is I can't comply....if I sent everything in I wanted powdered, I'd have to sell my Spyder to pay for it!! :gaah:

Besides, flat black is pretty forgiving.

Right

I can feel you Pal,
I hear that best time to powder coat in around Columbia County will be this time next year:thumbup:- does it sound like a solution to you?

In my opinion I would go with powder coating. While I think they look good as is, given that you have a narrow look at the spyder, when seeing their chromish finish against the less chromed out other hardware, I think it detracts from the look. So whatever you do, I would try to make all the hardware uniform.

Just a thought.

My $.02... Black. Just got my ISOs from Kuryankin in black.

I had originally planned on some Kuryakin footrests but had these chrome ones so, being frugal and all......

Then a guy buys my FJR last night and there's a little extra capital floating around so it's back to Plan A....maybe even some little footboards if I can find the right ones. Kuryakin makes some nice, already black, stuff! :ohyea:

Maybe use a little of that fresh coin to buy a new radiator for my truck.....found out yesterday that it's leaking!! If it isn't one thing.........:banghead:

Power Coat

I'm having mine powder coated from top to bottem as we speak!!!!! Photos to come!!! :ohyea: Project 2012 in process!!!!

hey d max

check out all the home made floorboards in the mods section, they are cheap and fairly easy to make and look pretty good. unless you want to spend a pile of money( not that theres anything wrong with that). you seem like a very capable person:thumbup::popcorn:

Great minds coz!! I was out in the shop this afternoon cutting up pieces of cardboard for my mock-ups!

Think I'll move them a little farther forward, outside the air dam wings (or whatever they are)....being 6' 5" I need to stretch pretty far forward to work the kinks out. Also thinking the Street Magic brackets and links will give 2 good strong mounting points for the floorboard edge....we shall see
