I have a dilema, I am a new member to this forum, and I have two options in front of me. Here they are; (2)two 2015 RT Limited's in white, and a 2012 RT Limited in white which are the most perfect color right?
I also have been working two local dealers and have a price on 2015 Spyder RT Limited for $27,000.00 from one dealer and a price of 26,000.00 for a 2015 RT Limited demo unit with 800 miles. A pricvate seller has a 2012 RT Limited in white for $16,000 with 3,500 miles
I have been riding motorcycles for 42 years. Moving to the three wheels and I have some questions. I currently own a 1997 Goldwing Aspencade in white which IS the most perfect color!
What should be my expectations for my initial demo ride between the two years? (I have a demo ride set up for this Saturday).
How long does it take to get comfortable for getting up to speed as I do with my bike now?
How difficult is the transition of the "push/pull" lean from riding a motorcycle to "turning like a snowmobile" on the Spyder?
Will I miss the deep leaning you get on a motorcycle in the twisties?
About the 2012 and the 2015 models.
I do know that one is a two cylinder and the others are three cylinders. Is the torque and power that much of a difference between the two? Why should I buy the 2015 over the 2012? Are the current 2012 owners happy with their purchase? Will I be looking to trade the 2012 for a 2015 after I purchase and get use to riding a three wheeler? Is the 2012 good enough for a new first time Can-Am owner?
Are there any recalls on the year(s) model?
Is the stock set up good enough for long distance riding two up? I am 6'3" tall, and my wife is 5'0" tall
Any input will helpful as I'm in the decision process to transition to 3 wheels very soon (in the next two weeks).
Thank You forum members!
