• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Avatar was taken on O'Neil pass in the Hills also.

Bison are like moose; unpredictable. I'm not aware they have a bias against motorcycles. Just don't approach them for a selfie as some a-hole tourists try to do.

Going through Custer State Park (SD) a few years back, traffic was blocked by a large herd of Bison in the road. A "local" in a pickup headed right for the herd, which promptly disbursed. I followed the pickup and got the heck out of Dodge.

One of my favorites

I have many pictures I like, but one of my favorites is when my youngest came home on leave to go to SITR with me back in 2012. This is us going thru The Chandelier Tree in Leggett, California.

A couple of years ago while going through Theodore Roosevelt Park on my RTS I waited about a 1/4 mile behind while some people in a pickup were stopped looking at bison by the road. After they moved on I went by the bison without stopping. When I got back to the visitor's center I asked the ranger, "If I had stopped and blasted my horn what would have happened. Would the bison be scared and take off, or would they get p**sed and attack me, or would they do nothing with the attitude of 'stupid human'?" "Anyone of the three!", he said. "The old ones would probably just stand there or walk away. A young bull would be the most likely one to attack!" So the advice is, if you're on a motorcycle and encounter bison by the road just keep on moving and don't do anything to disturb them. Remember, they're bigger than you are!
