There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. PORK RIBS - A DIFFERENT WAY TO COOK THEM

BLUEKNIGHT911

Sadly Passed Oct 2024 - RIP
:bbq::bbq::bbq:....Yep I loooooooooooove BBQ , but to me it's tedious. Soooo I'm always looking for a way to get those ribs super tender the easiest way I can ...... I start with cheapo country style bone in lots of FAT pork ribs ... I lay a piece of aluminum foil ( sized for the amount of ribs used ) I put my HM Dry Rub on every rib individually .... then wrap them up tight ..... I have a large iron pot from my great grand mother ( not cast - but thick ) I put a small grate in to keep the package off the bottom ..... I have a low temp burner on my gas stove and I leave that on the low setting...... I cook them for about 2 hrs. ..... I have taken the temp while cooking and it stays at 200 +/- for the 2 hrs.... They come out - juicy and melt in your mouth TENDER ..... the dry rub gives good flavor, but you can add any type BBQ sauce if you like...... What's nice about this method is ... I've done this on a 90 degree day, but the very low heat doesn't heat up the house like having the oven on for two hrs..... At 6 o'clock I'm going to start eating them :yes::yes::yes::yes:....... Mike

 Damn...
That only leaves me fifteen minutes to get to your house! :banghead:
Eat a couple of pounds of them for me too! :2thumbs:

:yes::yes:... Just finished :clap:.... they were a success ... I forgot to mention , when you take the ribs package out of the pot to open it .... I just cut one corner and pour out the juice and make my own :bbq:sauce using that as a starter ...now for some :coffee:....... Mike

My daughter makes "fall off the bone" ribs in her crock pot, and swears by them. Of course she hasn't seen fit to share any with me yet.

Love me some good FOB (fall of the bone) ribs.
Smoked a couple racks for the 4th. Yummmmmmmy.

Oh ya. Had the usual smoked deviled eggs to sample while the ribs were cooking.

I've made them that way also and they are great .......... however the electric rates in Vermont are extremely high .... so cooking with gas is a better alternative for me ...... but thanks for the Tip ..... Mike
