Popping sound from engine area

I have a 2011 RTS. The other day in the area of the engine, I hear a popping sound every 10 to 12 seconds. This occurs after a warm up. It is the same interval with no change while sitting still or at highways speeds. The popping occurs twice after turning off the engine with the ignition still on. The popping sound is rather loud, but not as loud as a backfire. It does sound like pressure being relieved.
Has anyone seen this?

Time to pull some panels and take a listen. If it is happening with regularity it should jump out at you. With the panels off.
