• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

hi, i'm new to this site and would appreciate any info you can give me on a ( check transmission p0826 fault ). i have an 2008 gs se5 with 8000 miles. the code popped up after a trip to the dealer for a rear tire install, and driving in a good downpour. it is not on all the time and seems to occur in the down shifting. all the fuses and relays seem good and seated properly. any help is greatly appreciated. ps, the :ani29: handled very good in the rain at 55 mph. thanx in advance for the help.

i'm confused because it shows a problem with the shift up/down switches, but it shifts just fine if i am at the proper rpms. is there any other possibility that anyone can think of. :dontknow:

The problem is likely in your shift switch, probably due to water accumulation. It may or may not clear up on its own. I dubt the trip to the dealer was the cause, more likely the rain. Another trip to the dealer would be in order, especially is there is an extended warranty still in effect. Your Spyder may be shifting OK (for now) but the computer is seeing a bad signal from the switch, posibly both up and down indications at the same time. This is a warning of possible impending failure.

ut 200 miles on over the weekend and the check transmission warning never flashed once on the cluster. hopefully the problem was caused by the rain. it was 15 miles in a downpour with no place to get under cover. i bought the spyder used with no extended warranty. i'll keep my eye on it, if it shows up again, it's off to the dealer. thanx for everyone's help. this appears to be a very good source for info. any thoughts on a gps mount for a garmin nuvii 2350? :helpsmilie:
