There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Planning a trip to Niagara Falls/need your input

I went up early July 2007 to look at a horse in Phelpston (a few hours north of Niagara). We didn't make any reservations. Left after work (about 6pm) on a Friday, drove until sometime after midnight and found a hotel near the highway in upstate New York. We got a discount because they said the air conditioning didn't work in the room but, we were only going to be there for about 3-4 hours so we didn't care but, it actually worked fine!

Saw the horse, came back down to Niagara for the evening/night.

Be a tourist and take a ride on the Maid of the Mist!

Again, we didn't make reservations but looked for a nice looking hotel, stopped in the Skyline Brock and "made a deal" with the gentleman at the desk. Haggling is fun!! The Brock is now the Crowne Plaza and is still a nice 4 star hotel that shows off it's history: http://www.niagarafallscrowneplazah...-of-the-crowne-plaza-niagara-falls-fallsview/

And a parking garage :)

The wife and I are planning a 20th anniversary trip to Niagara Falls. Here is the Question: Spyder or car? We took a 17 day cross country trip in 2011 and had a great time, no problems what so ever! (we traveled by our selves, Spyder and 622 trailer). South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorodo, Kansas and a bunch more. Is crossing into Canada a problem on the Spyder (we have passports)? Are the people in the area friendly to motorcycles/Spyders? Any safety concerns as it is going to be only my wife and I (unless some spyderlovers out there want to join the ride along the way). Hotel parking at Niagara a problem or no? As far as the route goes I am very familiar with Tennessee into VA. on through WV all the way to Morgantown next to PA. I haven't been any farther through PA to lake Erie at New York. It is only 700 miles or so from home so the ride is not the issue, just the concern of actually being there and not being in a cage. If any of you have been there please chime in.
Thanks,
Stan

You guys will have a great time. That's my old stomping grounds even though I am way out west now. Was back that way 2 years ago with my wife. Was on the American side a few months after that for World Junior Hockey. We had a great time. No shortage of motorcycles out that way. Enjoy the falls. Easy to spend the entire day and not run out of things to do. Nice day drive along HWY 3 and 24 through Port Dover to Long Point. Some nice white sand beaches on that stretch of Lake Erie. Some nice quaint villages. FYI, you will also be about an hour or 1.5 away from Mississauga and Toronto. There isn't any shortage of things to do there. Beware the drivers as you get closer to Toronto. Nice to see Spyder riders heading to Canada. I am always trying to head to the USA. The Canadian Border varies depending on where you are crossing. I always find it tougher in Eastern Canada than the West.

Oh Canada my Niagara

Been there several times. Spyder OK there, no problems at all. Grand roads, check out the attractions on both sides. New York has the Gennesse Vally area, Finger Lakes, Seneca Falls is cool. Fantastic wineries. Can be very rainy at times--for days and days! Boarder crossings have never been a problem--insurance, registration papers--the usual stuff. The Canadian side of the falls is the only side to bother with. American side was a slum.

Spyder pontoons------?

Don't take your Spyder over the falls, they don't float too well! :roflblack:

You sir have obviously not tried the new and vastly improved falls diving Spyder Pontoons of Iran. These pontoons are light weight and while a bit of a eye sore to some do in fact float very well. They feature foam floatation, color choice and come in Candy Colors for the custom folks. Give um a try soon-------

Do it... Have ridden in Canada numerous times. Two years ago I meet up with some old riding friends from DC at Niagara Falls and road around to Thunder Bay, Winapeg, Sturgis, and back to Knoxville. One of the best rides of my life.
Only thing I can add is if your going to stay in Canada for any time check with your cell phone provider the rates up north are pricy and if you enjoy a drink when the day is done it will run you about twice what your use too. They tell me thats one of the ways they pay for their health care. Other than that the people are great and the country is beautiful.

Enjoy,

Ed
