• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pin program for mileage

Yes, someone posted on Facebook yesterday a copy of an email that they received from BRP about this.

If they are up

Not so sure anymore, fyi was yold it was down & recieved a similar email. Then many months later another & amasingly finially a pin & patch:hun::yes: Took about a year in total. so i would like a 100% yes or no answer too plz.

The email was received on Friday so I would think that it is a definite yes, the program is still going on. They never sent the pins out very quickly, I was told that they sent them quarterly so don't expect them right away.

Just got a reply from BRP, the pin program has been discontinued. :(:(:banghead::banghead:

Must have been a busy weekend for them. The picture I posted was from Friday and is a copy of the email that someone received from BRP. I guess the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.

You are correct. Over a year ago someone checked, and they were told it was discontinued.

Right hand not knowing what the left was doing. There have been many issues with the website for registration etc.

I was not able to register my 2nd :spyder2: (2009) because I was told I was already in the system as a :ani29: owner (2008).

My dealer took care of the registration of each of my machines for warranty purposes--so I know I am in that system anyway.

The pin program was kind of a joke. At first you needed everything including your mother in law's drivers license and blood type. Then they shipped out pins based on your word alone. It took a long time, and did appear that they were processed quarterly.

I got my 100K pin and about three weeks later they shipped me a second one. Always nice to have a spare--which I am going to keep this time. I will add that to my pin vest in about another 75K miles.

Too bad it's ended. After going to Alaska and back I was looking forward to a pin collection.

Pins and patches are fun. For me, they bring back a lot of fond memories of places and rides past.

My vest from many years is now pretty heavy and full--but I think it will be able to make it to the end. I don't wear it much any more, but perhaps it will be my final adornment--since I have not worn a suit since 2001.

This past month I received my 100,000 mile pin from this supposedly discontinued program
Damn, thats alot of miles. Congrats. They prob had that pin a long time and you prob got the only one they ever made....lol

No there are several folks out there eligible whether they got them or not.. I didn't start riding Spyders until late 2010 so I am definitely not at the top of the Spyder mileage

that's too bad. I too tried to register on the website but all I could register for was email announcements. This would have been a good incentive to get people riding their Spyders. I see a lot of used ones 3 to five years old with under 5000 mi on them.
