• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I went to Magog, Quebec on saturday for the record attempt. They didn't beat the Ducati record of 405, but there was 326 Spyders all parked in a field at the same time which was pretty cool to see. Here's a few pics I took.

thats pretty cool.

What Police Department was that Spyder part of?

He was part of the Magog Police Dept. He led the parade through the city of Magog, complete with lights and siren, and was assisted by about 10 other cruisers to hold up traffic while we passed through.

Oh yea...I forgot to mention that they parked the Spyders such that the red and yellow ones were supposed to spell out BRP when viewed from above. They had a helicopter fly over and take a picture just before we all left for the parade through town. I'm trying to find where someone posted that pic...they said that a representative from BRP was there, so it might show up on the Spyder Ryder site.

 Looks like it would have been fun to be there. Speedin, being I never heard about this except for a couple of posts you put up here, I'm curious about the details of this event. Was it an official BRP event or an owner or dealership driven event? Were there mostly Canadian Spyder owners or did the USA owners make a strong showing too?

I learned about the event from the Spyder Ryders website under News/Events. It was organized/sponsored by Club-Spyder, which is a club based in Quebec. It was about 99% Canadian riders - mostly from Quebec...I saw one other guy from VT, and one from CT. Since I live so close (it was only about 90 miles away from my house), I decided to ride up there and check it out. It was particularly cool to see all the different mods people have done. The guy that owns the maroon one said he's got over $40k into his !!!!

WOW..:congrats:, pictures are great, Thanks for sharing this with us.

:2thumbs: for a "Police Spyder", that's incredible...

Thanks for sharing the pictures. I arrived in Quebec late on Aug. 1 and was too beat to head up there. Wish I could have made it.

Wow it looks like a big turn out. I would get confused there. Looks like they parked all the silver in one spot, yellows in another and reds in another. This means we really gotta spend some money to make our :spyder:s unique so we would know which ones were ours LOL!

If you're looking for ideas to make yours unique, check this one out....definitely the most unique one I saw out of the 326 that were there...

What is that . . . . . .

. . . . . on the picture of the Police Spyder? Where it says, "Police" on the side, under the handlebar - it looks like a strobe-flasher.

Looks like a great event. Thanks for the pics.
