There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Picking up new F3

Hi, Picking up my first Spyder tommorrow - a 2015 F3. Previously had a HD trike conversion.Would like to get some large throwover saddlebags, but I haven't seen anything that would keep the bags clear of the swingarm in a corner.

Any suggestion as to bag hardware? or anything else?

Also any recommendations for a windshield? I'm a long waisted 6'3" and like to look over a shield. ( and maybe smoke behind it). Can Am shields any good?

:welcome: and :congrats: on your new F3.

Welcome to the Spyder World, you will love the new bike. It has a slight learning curve but it comes pretty fast. As far as bags to throw over,I'm not aware of any but there are lots of people here that are more than willing to help you out. Good luck and welcome.

:congrats: on the new bike! :2thumbs:
Madstad makes a pretty nice windshield for the F3s...
BRP has their own soft bags; perhaps they've also got some sort of guard for the swingarm... :dontknow:
You might as well ask your dealer about it.

EDIT: There's a great discussion going on in the F3 section right now: "Saddlebag Dilemma".
I'm pretty sure that they've got the answers that you're looking for!

swodo,
Congratulations on your new F3! Your going to love it! I've had my '15 F3 for about 3 weeks and I've had almost 900 miles of fun. I'm 6'4" and still trying to find the windshield I like. I'm looking at the new Can-Am Shad hard bags and mounts; they're new on the Can-Am site.

What part of MN are you from?

Congrats.

I rode a F3T at bike week and the wind noise was ear piercing. Pretty sure it was this one: http://ridermagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/24/2016/01/web-chart-TR1_5152.jpg
I will say the wind was smooth but wow was it loud in my full face helmet. Just in the 15 or so minute demo ride my ears hurt. I didn't put in my ear plugs because I expected it was going to be fairly quiet.
I am 6'2".

Had the BRP touring shield when I bough the RS. The popping and buffeting at interstate speeds was just too much.
I have a 24" Madstad now and they are making a 26" which should be here next week.
I suspect that since I have adjustable bars and comfort seat on my RS, I sit back away from the shield more so than stock and that extra air gab requires a taller shield than normal.

In all the windshields I've tested on various bikes (mostly naked street bikes), my opinion is either go small or go big. Anything in between just creates more issues with buffeting.
I went with Madstad because of the 60 day exchange policy and positive reviews. A few have not liked them but I think the majority do.
We'll see how the new one works out and then I'll decide if I want them to do a custom for my Buell or a Givi airflow universal.

Of course, windshields are like many things and everyone has a different opinion so you will see a whole lot of mixed feedback on the same shield.

SpyderPops, a site sponsor, has what appears to be a nice set, including mounting brackets.
