Picked up my new Ryker

Picked up my 2021 900 ACE yesterday. It was a cold 64 mile ride home in 40 degree weather, but worth it. Can't wait for the weather to break to get some serious time on it. I was surprised with a few of the changes for '21. It now has a screw on gas cap and they included the front inner wheel bearing covers that were previously sold separately. I'm sure there are a few other differences I haven't noticed yet. I need more time to look it over.

did you ride a 2019/20 Modell before ? I heard they changed something in the CVT Gearbox (the weights for the clutch) so the 2021 should run with lower RPMs than the old ones ..
(I plan to change that on mine !!) - would be interesting to make a side by side test !!
You should add heated Grips and a Fairing if you plan to ride in these temperturs :gaah:

I did have some limited ride time (less than 100 miles) on a 2019. During my ride home it did seem that it wasn't revving as high as I expected for a given speed. From my research the high revs at highway speeds was something that stuck out to me. I can check RPMs at a few different speeds on my next ride and report back here if you'd like.

The part number for the clutch sliders (weights) is the same for the 2019 and 2021 (20281296). However, the part numbers for the final drive assembly are different (705502457 for the 2019 and 705503043 for the 2021). Furthermore the original final drive part number has been replaced by the new one. I could not find any information on what had changed. It does seem strange to me that the 600 ace and 900 Ace/Rally use the same final drive and presumably the same ratio.

I would also be interested to see if the RPM's at highway speed were reduced with the new model.

So, I was able to get in a quick ride this evening. The temp was 61 and I caught a break between rain showers. Since a few of you were interested to see if they made any CVT or final drive changes I kept an eye on the revs while I was out.

45 MPH = 4400 RPM
60 MPH = 5600 RPM

Based on what I've seen in some youtube videos I believe those numbers are consistent with previous model years. So I don't think there were changes. If there is anything else you guys want me to look at I'd be glad to.

Thanks for doing the test run and numbers, it will be interesting to see if there were any changes. Looking at them just from memory, it looks consistent with about what mine does, I'll check tomorrow.

My records show 5540 RPM at 60 mph and 6380 RPM at 75 MPH for my 2019 model. It does not appear that BRP has changed the final drive ratio or clutch weights.

Ok, on your new 2021 Ryker you showed 45 MPH = 4400 RPM.
On my 2020 Ryker running it at 45 MPH = 4500 RPM.
I didnt get a chance to check it 60 MPH as I was running it around my subdivision this morning before going to work.
