• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Chrome, if that is a browser. I'm not too up on computer nomenclature.

Thanks. Yep, that is Google's version of a browser. I seldom use it. I'm of the opinion that Google already has far too many ways to learn what I'm doing on the 'net without using their tool to make it a lot easier for them to track me!

Peter, what browser are you using?

In this thread, whatever it is that came with the Galaxy Tab-A &/or the Samsung Note9, but on the desktop I usually use Firefox.

That 'air bag end' image I inserted earlier was done using the 'click on the third image in from the right' method on the Tab-A, and as you can see, what you see is what you get - even if you enlarge it, the image remains at the same resolution, so it just gets fuzzier as it gets bigger....

Here it is using the 'Manage Attachments' option, again on the Tab-A

Hey Toolie (& others ;) ) I'm going to move this whole thread over into the Forum Support & Testing section (it'll leave a notification for a few days) because it has sorta digressed from anything much related to Spyder General Discussion, hasn't it?!? Sorry Toolie. :opps:

But further on the pics, can anyone else click on my thumbnail in the post above & get it to enlarge?! Dunno if it's my scarred fingertips & them not hitting in their right spot, or if something else is playing up?! :gaah:

Note to above: something else is going on here - that pic is loading as an image & not a thumbnail?!? Not sure why?!? :dontknow: looking further..... :sour:

Ps: Idaho, after looking at your images & a few others that've been posted in recent threads, there does seem to be some inconsistencies in the way the forum software manages images inserted directly from a device as opposed to those links inserted for images hosted elsewhere... I still think the 'manage attachments' option with it's thumbnails & 5 at a time restriction is the better choice for uploading them tho, but I'll keep on digging re the insert images issues (it'll probably be in slow time tho. ;) )

Hurray I posted my Mustang seat with 4 pictures, Thanks Peter
Now I hope I don’t forget.
Would be nice to have a sticky

Interesting! I posted all three of the above from my Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0. The thumbnail pops up the full size copy on both the Tab A and my PC. Neither one of your images pops up a full size copy.

Device info: Model SM-T350, Android 7.1.1, Samsung Experience Version 8.5, kernel version 3.10.49-12378949 dated Oct 25, 2017.

Peter, how does this compare to your tablet?

My Galaxy Tab-A(6) 2016 Model SM-P585Y is running Andriod 8.1.0, Samsung Experience version 9.5, kernel version 3.18.14-14598364, dated Nov 19, 2018

I too cannot get those pics labelled as 'Images' to pop up as a full size copy, but only the first image I loaded was meant to be an 'image'..... I wonder if it's because now that it's on the Forum's platform, that's the only way it can manage it?? :dontknow:

Try uploading a pic with either Chrome or Firefox, or both, on your tablet. If that works then that indicates a significant hitch between the native browser and the forum s/w. If neither of them works then there must be an incompatibility between your tablet and the forum s/w. My daughter has a fairly new Tab A so maybe tomorrow I'll see what it does. It's beginning to look like it's a user's device related issue and not a forum s/w issue.
