• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pest Controller goes from Beetle to Spider (Spyder)

Many of you will know that I sold my Volkswagen Beetle Convertible at the end of August because I wanted to purchase my dream the Can Am Spyder F3-S.
Deal has been sealed today and dealer has put a sold sticker on F3-S. She is mine, mine , mine. The dealer is called 158 Performance and I would like to give them a big shout for selling me the only available brand new 2015 F3-S in Magnesium and red frame physically in stock in the UK. I would also like to give a big shout to the three other dealers which are Pure Speed, GS Jet Tech and OHG for the advice, finance quotes, etc and although I didn't buy a Spyder from you, please be assured you will get my business when my F3-S needs servicing and accessories/parts.
All four UK Can Am dealers exceeded customer expectations, but I could only choose one dealer to buy Spyder from. The decision was easy because 158 had a F3-S in colour I wanted and onsite. Well if that had been sold to someone else, I would probably have had to wait till 2016. OHG had sold there magnesium demo, GS Jet Tech were holding on to their magnesium demo, Pure Speed didn't have a magnesium demo in and that left 158 Performance who had a brand new F3-S in Magnesium.
I would like to give a big shout to Bob Denman. The Guardian Bell you sent me has brought me good luck and since receiving it I held it everyday in the hope it would give me luck in finding that F3-S in the UK.
At present the dealer will be fitting Blueridge Windscreen and heated grips and I will expect a phone call from them for me to come down with my partner and sign finance papers.
I will be posting pics to you when she arrives.

Have a good weekend x

When she arrives I will be posting lots of pics of her and I will contact OJ UK to see if we can have another meet this time with the Spyder and not Beetle.

I was going to suggest that you ride with Geoff for a bit; he's got the miles and experience, and can get you pointed in the right direction! nojoke

Thanks Bob. It will be great to meet Geoff again and if you are reading this right now Geoff, I am hoping you will be my first point of call due to you being the closest Spyder owner I know to where I live. You know I am a newbie and have never ridden before so it would be great to have support from an experienced owner and rider. Spyderlovers website will always be by my side because I learn new things every day from it and there is lots for me to learn about Spyder ownership and everything that comes with it.
Lamonster without your website, I would be lost, so a BIG thank you to you for it.

Wot, you get sick of the electric folding bike already Darren?!?! But it's not your winter-time yet, it hasn't snowed has it??? I woulda thought you'd stick with the folding bike until after winter, at least!!!

Seriously, congrats on your purchase, I am sure you'll lurve it!!

And now there'll be another Spyder rider in the ol'Blighty who we'll need to catch up with when we next come over to see our expat Son (lives & works in York, just up the road from you) his Pommy wife & our Aus/Pom Grandkids - second one in that country is scheduled to arrive end of March-ish 2016, so sometime after that.... might be just in time for some warmer weather. ;)

Ha, Ha go to York every 6 weeks to do routine Pest Control work at a hotel and a few care homes.
Love York and will be visiting it to tour with my F3-S at some point

Got my registration posted today from 158 Performance

Got my vehicle registration posted today from 158 Performance, I think first letter is same as Geoff's (OJ UK) F3 which is A.
Celebrating with a bottle of wine tonight for F3-S

Electric Folding Bike

Electric folding bike has now been sold in less than 24 hours on Ebay :ohyea:. My spare time and weekends weather permitting will be spent with my F3-S when she comes home. ;)

That's it! Drag me into it why doncha! Elsewhere (FB) Darren has said that he hopes to be in my area on Christmas
Day. This means it'll be icy cold with drizzle, salt on the roads and idiot drivers everywhere! (That's being optimistic!)
Ah well, what can a poor soul do? Bring it on!
I've got my FirstGear one piece suit so I may as well give it some use!
I also have a new can of ACF50 protectant spray so I'll jack up the Spyder and coat the underside!
Fortunately I don't really "do" Christmas* so Darren won't be interrupting anything of any importance.:joke:
