• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Personal favor?

Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes

My friend Dale has exceeded his implied authority in making this post but I thank him anyway........;)

You guys really know how to support and cheer up a despondent Spyder Ryder.:(

I hope to be able to ryde in the early morning or late afternoon when it's not 180° with 388% humidity.

New meds mean I'm extremely sensitive to sunshine so long sleeves (I normally wear my summer riding gear anyway) and sun screen on the exposed skin. Not a big thing just another precaution to take :lecturef_smilie:

BOB..... awesome picture........ My nickname has more to do with the heavens than the earth but still enjoyed the pic..... may have to steal it for a bio pic or something.

Again, thanks all for the response....... AWESOME and APPRECIATED.:yes::bowdown::bowdown::firstplace::clap::clap:

Not the way to spend the weekend

I went into Afib again on Saturday..... Was given 2 liters of saline in the ER and converted to sinus rhythm but because they didn't know what was going on they parked me in the CICU "just in case" something happened or if they needed to treat me quickly for another bout of Afib. I stayed in sinus the rest of the weekend and the Docs each had their turn at figuring out what happened. Long story short, it seems I am sensitive to blood volume. If I get dehydrated my volume drops, my blood pressure falls and my heart flips into Afib. Soooo the answer is Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate....... BUT I tell my heart doc that I am drinking 84 OZ or more of water each day because the 1st thing the Oncologist tells me is "drink plenty of water"... How can I be dehydrated? Well it turns out that water alone doesn't do a very good job of providing hydration to the body...... Especially filtered water or bottled water with little or no ions included. The key is "electrolytes". My Doc said " Have you ever noticed after you have Mexican food how your ring is a little tighter or you feel a little fuller? It's the salt. So I said to him " that means you have to drink the Margaritas too?" He laughed and said "sure"....... SO THERE IT IS....... my prescription to cure my Afib....... Eat Mexican and drink margaritas........ I can live with that!:yes:

Actually I am adding Gator Aid and Power Aid and other electrolyte rich sources to my daily hydration routine. Just a word of warning to my friends here..... Consider this in your warm weather ryding..... word to the wise.

I want to thank you all for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers..... EVERY single one was felt and appreciated.

Glad that you and the Doctors figured out the recipe. You are still in our thoughts and prayers.

Mexican Food and Margaritas?
Did your Doctor write you a prescription for them?
Will your health insurance pay for it? :D :2thumbs:
