• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Perfect replacement for toolkit holder

Punji,

I never found the one you did @ Home Depot, but did find the equivalent at Lowe's. Thanks for getting me to thinking in that direction!

Mine broke too. About a month ago. It lies where it fell, I cut the rest of the cheap strap off. :2thumbs:

Mine broke

Mine broke and the dealer ordered a new one and it was covered under the warranty. Within two weeks the replacement broke. I gave up

get the one listed at the top of this thread at Home Depot at back of the store in the special appliance parts section... behind the custom kitchen and cabinets big area.

I jumped a curb today and munched the left lower wing thing(kind of like where a highway peg might mount..cost: around 18 bucks ea.). I went to get the tool kit out to remove the remains of the "wing thing" and the strap snapped. It was deteriorated. I m wondering of it has anything to do with being directly above the brake master cylinder fluid reservoir. The strap looked like it was rotted with small little holes in it when I stretched it.

I m not concerned with replacing it.

Even on the rs's that thing is a pain to get in and out but i don't use it that often to just leave it on the bottom of the frunk.

I feel lucky after reading all this. My strap lasted six whole months before it rotted off!:lecturef_smilie:

mine still hasnt broke but i replaced it with the home depot suggestion. its smaller but it stretched ok. the new strap held up so far with the 2 day ride to Cuba, MO and riding around...
